Eating out in Kalkan
The array of types of places to eat in Kalkan can be bewildering, with over a hundred restaurants to choose from.
Most are on rooftop terraces with beautiful views of the village and harbour. The quality of the food is high with restaurants serving Mediterranean cuisine along with Turkish favourites.
You can sit on kilims or floor cushions and be served traditional Turkish dishes or visit one of the smart harbourside restaurants and indulge in seafood, much of which is caught locally that day.
If you wish to try genuine local cooking there are little back street restaurants so low key that most visitors never seem to find them until the last days of their holidays.
