Kalkan nightlife
The bars in Kalkan are quirky and atmospheric. There are Ottoman style bars where you can sit on cushions and try a nargile (hookah or water pipe) or take in the views from one of the many roof top bars.
The narrow streets and alleyways contain a few music bars with outside (people watching) seating areas and small dance floors inside. While down by the harbour you can dance till the early hours while drinking exotic cocktails sitting amongst palm trees.
Music tastes in Kalkan vary from blues, rock, jazz to Turkish and modern day dance.
Turkish wine is very palatable and much underrated and while imported spirits are available you may find them a little expensive compared to Turkish spirits, which are much cheaper and very good value. A good local beer (Efes) is also very low in price.
